Summary/Abstract: The monograph by R. Janicka-Szyszko and W. Kuska is another of those published by the Jakub z Paradyż Academy and devoted to the essence of the forest. The reviewed monograph is undoubtedly part of the research on the linguistic image and creation of the world and complements the publications in this area. Accessible and thematically interfering, the publication is consistent and clear in its composition. Noteworthy is the choice of the topic and title of the publication, a solid material basis, a well-founded methodology, an extensive bibliography, as well as consideration of the issue not only from a linguistic, but also from a socio-cultural perspective. Another publication on the multifaceted approach to the forest is a harbinger of research dedicated to its essence, which is particularly important for the Lubuskie province – the most forested region in Poland, the kingdom of forest flora and fauna.
