The influence of the interconnections between the Sustainable Development Goals on the progress of the European Union countries in order to achieve the 2030 Agenda

Summary/Abstract: This paper represents a research of the influences of the interconnections between the Development Goals on the progress of the European Union countries in order to achieve the 2030Agenda. The interest for this theme is global, considering the introduction of various legislative amendments(legislative packages and national strategies), which have the role of implementing and monitoring the implementation of the 2030 Agenda, immediately after its adoption in 2015.At the level of the Web of Science platform, the number of publications is increasing throughout the analyzed period, and the collaboration between countries regarding the progress and implementation of the 17 objectives can be highlighted.The paper presents the evolution of the representative indicators for each SDG separately, in order to be able to analyze the stage of implementation of the 2030 Agenda. By identifying, at the level of each SDG, the impact on each of the other objectives, it was possible to create an image of the importance of approaching their integrated implementation. The evolution or degree of implementation of an objective, having a real impact on the achievement of the others.In the paper, a comparative analysis was made of the monitoring reports of the sustainable development objectives from the years 2021, 2022, 2023, observing a fluctuation in the evolution of the indicators, following the emergence of socio-economic problems at the global level (the COVID-19pandemic, the wars in Ukraine and Israel).
