Summary/Abstract: Both public policies and security education focus on social problems and threats which are broughtwith civilization development we all experience. The aim of the discussion in that paper is analyzing themain targets of public policies and security education which prepare society to perform tasks effectivelyand respond to threats in various spheres of life from perspective of conditions and situations in Poland.The research problem is formulated as a question: Would it be worthy to complement publicpolicies with knowledge and tasks which are in the realm of security education? The methods used forconducting the research are critical qualitative analysis of collected source materials, literature and legalacts that relate to the present situation in the country and the results of the current research.The finding formulated on the basis of the conducted research is that it is worth consideringsupplementing public policies with knowledge and practical tasks of security education.
