Summary/Abstract: In late November, 50,000 Moldovans walked down the streets of Chisinau calling for the Moldovan president’s ouster, Georgian-style, if he signed up to a Russian proposal that would have reunited Moldova with the breakaway region of Transdniester. President Vladimir Voronin backed down.
