Cripping Ecorelational Pleasure

Summary/Abstract: This article discusses the contemporary synergies of ecological reflection, queer perspectives on non-normative ways of experiencing erotic and romantic sensations, and perspectives derived from critical disability studies. Starting from the concept of ecosexuality and the associated alternative approaches to pleasure, the author draws attention to the alliances formed outside the boundaries of the broadly defined human norm. She explains how a process that can be called the cripping of ecosexual pleasure finds expression in selected contemporary cultural texts, supporting efforts to develop more inclusive, non-anthropocentric and anti-ableistic models of (co)habitation on Earth.
