Summary/Abstract: The frontier-themed Tang poetry is a basic category of Tang poetry. Under the tradition of integration of poetry and music, the development of frontier-themed Tang poetry set to music has become a peak in Tang Dynasty literature and art. Therefore, studying their artistic characteristics is of significant academic value. However, the academic community in both Chinese and English has not yet conducted specialized research on the artistic characteristics of frontier-themed Tang poetry set to music. To make up for this regret, this article focuses on this theme using literature research, interdisciplinary research, and case study methods, analyzing the literary and musical characteristics of frontier-themed Tang poetry set to music, as well as the cultural effects of poetry and music integration. It points out the enlightening significance of its creative experience for contemporary and future literary and artistic creations.
