Summary/Abstract: The text presents the perception of the traditional Chazak attire by two groups: the Regional Ensemble “Wisieloki” from Szymanowo and the Regional Ensemble “Chojnioki” from Chojno. Both groups are located in Chazy – a microregion near Rawicz in southern Greater Poland. These ensembles effectively cultivate and promote the musical traditions of this microregion and beyond. They have become an integral part of Chazy’s cultural heritage. Due to the decline in wearing the traditional costume in the 1970s, the members of these ensembles have become its sole users. In this text, I would like to discuss aspects concerning the appearance of the traditional Chazak costume, emphasizing its role as a carrier of cultural heritage. I will also present the actions taken by these ensembles to popularize knowledge about the elements of the costume.
