Summary/Abstract: The impact of game-based learning methods on children's development is of increasing importance in today's education system. This research aims to evaluate the effect of play-based learning on child development in the preschool period. The focus of the research is on teachers' and parents' perceptions of game-based learning methods and the evaluation of the contributions of these methods to children's development. The findings obtained based on the opinions of teachers and parents show that game-based learning methods positively affect children's social skills, problem-solving abilities, creativity and motivation. Especially drama games, roll-play activities and learning-by-doing methods are among the game-based learning activities that students find most effective. However, the research results also reveal the difficulties encountered in the game-based learning process. Teachers and parents face challenges such as distraction, lack of resources, and time constraints. It has been determined that more professional development courses, materials and resources, and pedagogical consultancy are needed to overcome these challenges. As a result, it seems that game-based learning methods make positive contributions to children's academic success, social skills and general development. Therefore, it is important to include more game-based learning in education systems and to implement these methods effectively.
