Summary/Abstract: Theme of my following work is the comparative analysis of themes and motives, similar or identical in several fairy-tales gathered by Brothers Grimm and I.G.Sbiera. As far as I have researched, this is the first time when fairy-tales from the collection of Brother Grimm and their equivalents in the collection of I.G. Sbiera are analyzed from comparative point of view. If we analyze the Romanian fairy-tales, one can easily see that there is no taking over from the German, although the geographical location would speak for it, but it is something typical Romanian. One can find original Romanian traditions, or religious belief, as well as typical Romanian situations and by-meaning of symbols. Typical for our culture are the endings of the fairy-tales. One can find – if we are allowed to say so – Romanian popular philosophy and Romanian way to consider life. The religious, the church and God play a far more important role then in German fairy-tales – where in several cases – they have nothing to do with the religious feeling anymore.
