Summary/Abstract: In Russia’s National Security Strategy (2015) there are mentioned 6 national interests of which strengthening the defence of the country and consolidating national accord and political and social stability are primordial. Although it was preceded by the adoption of the Military Doctrine (2014) and the Maritime Doctrine (2015), the 2015 Strategy is, according to the author, the legal basis for continuing authoritarian leadership, strengthening the role of the state in all sectors, developing the Armed Forces procurement programmes, extending the competencies of intelligence services, intensifying propaganda, more actively involving the Russian Orthodox Church and other denominations as the state policy propaganda instruments.
