Summary/Abstract: Type 2 diabetes represents a serious chronic condition affecting a significant number of people worldwide. It is characterized by insulin resistance and insufficient insulin production by the body, leading to high levels of glucose in the blood. One of the main strategies for its management is the pre-assessment of the risk of developing the disease. The aim of this study is to examine the risk profile for developing type 2 diabetes among participants without a prior diagnosis of the disease. The main objective is to use the Findrisk tool to assess the risk and analyse the relationships between various risk factors and the likelihood of developing type 2 diabetes over the next 10 years. Research methodology. The study utilizes a random sample of participants who complete a risk assessment tool for type 2 diabetes. Statistical analysis is performed using SPSS and Microsoft Excel, including percentage distributions and correlation analysis. The results highlight the relationship between waist circumference and the risk of diabetes, revealing a statistically significant association. Various lifestyle and family history factors that may influence the risk of diabetes are considered. The identified correlations contribute to understanding the relationship between physical characteristics (weight, waist circumference, and height) and the risk of diabetes, emphasizing their role in prevention and early detection of the disease. A large portion of participants rate diabetes risk assessment calculator as very important, underscoring the importance of educational campaigns and preventive programs. Conclusion. Diabetes prevention requires a healthy lifestyle, regular check-ups, and public education. Maintaining a healthy weight, physical activity, and healthy eating are essential.
