Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to present the specificity of African society through the prism of social conflicts visible in the works of Apuleius of Madauros. The analysis of potential conflict situations is intended to help to show the interdependence and relationships between various social groups inhabiting North Africa in the second century A.D.
