Advantages and obstacles of foreign direct investments in Kosovo (Structural analysis)

Summary/Abstract: February 2008, together with the declaration of independence, brought recognition by other states in the region and raising the status and legitimacy of Kosovo. The result of this action was not only political coordination, in terms of adapting to the development goals, but also opening the potential “market “ in Kosovo under the aspect of foreign direct investment, which until that time had been operating in strict local conditions. Consequently national government and commercial terms enabled the industrial production capacity bringing Kosovo to the attention of financial markets and large companies. Considering the fact that these concentrations of capital were earlier present in geo - economic region where Kosovo works, this was and is important that the newest state of Balkan, Kosovo, to offer competitive conditions and incentives as a “latecomer” member in the region. In this regard the state of Kosovo has created opportunities to minimize the fiscal burden towards investment. Kosovo currently provides easier taxation and management of capital, property, copyright and human.
