ChatGPT in Mathematics Education

Summary/Abstract: The use of artificial intelligence is becoming more and more common in everyday life. Some research has already been done on ChatGPT for educational purposes. In this article, I focus on Hungarian mathematics education. I have also looked at one of the most time-consuming parts of it, how it can be used as a task generator. Is it effective in generating exercises? How good is it in the Hungarian language? How should the questions be formulated? The result was that ChatGPT makes mistakes but is still a useful tool in the hands of math teachers. With the help of ChatGPT teachers can shorten the time of searching and typing tasks. However, it is a good idea to look carefully at its answers and correct the occurred mistakes.
