Summary/Abstract: The present paper analyses the possible provenience, the morphological and technological aspects of the Roman rotary querns’ lithic raw material discovered at the military site of Călugăreni / Mikháza located on the eastern limes of Roman Dacia. Even though the querns provide only a glance on aspects of Roman everyday life, the daily subsistence of the military and civilian population can be grasped through the process of grinding.
