Summary/Abstract: In this critical essay I have beeen trying to underline and deconstruct one of the most important myth of the Universal culture, the myth of Faustus, and also its appearances in Romanian and European philosopher s and essayist works, like Goethe and Kit Marlowe and Thomas Mann, Lucian Blaga or Constantin Noica to Panait Cerna.
