Summary/Abstract: In this article, the opinions of foreign tourists about the Republic of Moldova are presented. The vlogs, in which foreigners register their travels, were used as sources. The ethnocultural aspects were analyzed. The image created by foreigners about the visited country is the object of study of imagology. Recently, the so-called “dark tourism” – i.e. the tourism to the least visited countries, has intensified. For this reason, the Republic of Moldova becomes a desirable touristic destination. Although the tourists come from different countries and cultures, there are noticed some repetitive ideas about our country. Sometimes those ideas are stereotypes. In the media, there are several opinions about the Republic of Moldova, either positive or negative: it is a boring country, a country with a Soviet past, a country in the Russian linguistic space (foreigners from Western Europe noted that here you can manage with little knowledge of Russian), etc. Some foreigners have underlined that although people here know Russian, the country is not bilingual. A more desirable destination for foreigners is the left bank of the Dniester. They are fascinated with this territory with a strong Soviet memory. Other destinations are the city of Soroca and ATU Gagauzia.
