Summary/Abstract: The present work is a study of the metaphors used by certain French speaking Moroccan media during the Covid 19 crisis, a global pandemic with harmful consequences at various levels. Through our corpus, we will try to identify the main metaphorical occurrences, with the aim of exploring he fields in which they are used and, above all, the values they convey. We note that this research falls within the framework of metaphor stemming from the research of Lakoff and Johnson, who argue that metaphors are not matters of words or poetic figures of speech, but rather cognitive processes that are largely metaphorical. Indeed, according to these two researchers, "Metaphor is an indispensable part of human thought, perception and understanding" (Lakoff, Johnson 15).
