Summary/Abstract: In January 2024, several regulations were published in the Official Journal, including: Law no. 11/2024 on the status of court clerks and other staff occupying specialized positions in the courts, public prosecutors' offices and the National Institute of Forensic Expertise; Order of the Minister of Education (OME) no. 3020/2024 for the approval of the Framework Regulation on doctoral studies; Statute of 29 September 2007 on the organisation and exercise of the profession of insolvency practitioner, approved by Decision of the Congress of the National Union of Insolvency Practitioners of Romania No. 3/2007, republished in M. Of. nr. 20/10.01.2024; Order of the Minister of Justice (OMJ) nr. 177/C for the approval of the Norms on the minimum fee rates for the services rendered by notaries public. Also, in January, several normative acts were amended, including: Land Registry and Real Estate Publicity Law no. 7/1996; Law no. 286/2009 on the Criminal Code; GO no. 81/2000 on the periodic technical inspection of vehicles registered or recorded in Romania, approved with amendments and additions by Law no. 167/2003, GO no. 27/2011 on road transport; Government Emergency Ordinance (GEO) no. 195/2002 on traffic on public roads; Law no. 237/2015 on the authorisation and supervision of insurance and reinsurance activity, Law No. 85/2014 on insolvency and insolvency prevention procedures, Law No. 213/2015 on the Insured Persons' Guarantee Fund; GEO No. 39/2018 on public-private partnership; Order of the Minister of Health (OMS) No. 63/2024 on the regulation of the methodology for monitoring the national prescription and dispensing of medicines in the category of antibiotics and antifungals for systemic use. Not least, the Official Gazette of January also published the ECHR judgment of 24 August 2023 in the case of P. v. Romania (Application No. 2022/18).
