Summary/Abstract: This paper has discussed the initiatives undertaken by Bangladesh to promote green energy, with a particular focus on the Solar Home System (SHS) program, which has brought electricity to millions of rural households through off-grid solar solutions. It also analyzed the implementation of large-scale solar parks and wind farms, emphasizing their significant contributions to the national energy grid. Furthermore, this paper has examined the policy framework and regulatory mechanisms established by the government to attract investments in renewable energy. It explored the incentives provided to promote private sector participation in solar, wind and biomass energy projects. The role of international cooperation and financial assistance in supporting Bangladesh’s green energy initiatives also explored. This research has provided valuable insights into Bangladesh’s journey toward sustainability and serves as a source of inspiration for policymakers, researchers and other nations striving for a greener and more sustainable energy future. It has highlighted the successes achieved by Bangladesh in promoting green energy and outlines the pathways for further progress in the pursuit of a sustainable and resilient future.
