Summary/Abstract: Kant distinguishes two epistemological levels – necessary and strictly universal (a priori) and empirical one. Their unity proves quite problematic. Analyzing „Critique of pure reason“ one main conclusion could be made: the a priori forms turn out too „powerful“ to let even the „lowest“ level of knowledge undetermined by them. In such a sense the system of Kant which is focused mainly on the task to ground one universal, necessary and in the same time broadening knowledge (scientific knowledge), is found to „contain“ some deficiencies for the deduction of the „pure subjective“, empirical, casual knowledge.
