Summary/Abstract: The article "Contemporary Destruction of Authorities and Mathematical Education" examines how the changing role of authorities in the information society affects mathematical education. In the era of the Internet and social media, traditional authorities are losing significance, posing chal- lenges and opportunities for mathematical education. The author emphasizes the key role of math- ematics in developing critical thinking skills and argues that mathematical education can help in building new authorities. Furthermore, the influence of the Internet and social media on access to mathematical knowledge is considered, highlighting both positive aspects and the risk of misinfor- mation. The article points out the need for a critical approach to sources of knowledge and the importance of mathematics teachers as new educational authorities.
