The New Man for the Nwe Times. Utopian Visions of the Creation of the New Man

Summary/Abstract: The article considers the description of the concept of creating the new man which is one of several utopian political concepts. Since antiquity philosophers have been trying to develop a model of an ideal society. Their various models assumed that it was necessary to transform people. In modern times, the French Revolution brought about some serious attempts to realize the dream of perfecting man as a real citizen of the state. In the twentieth century the idea of the new man has been propagated by National Socialist ideology in the Third Reich and Fascist Italy, and by Communism in the Soviet Union.
