Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the issue of the impact of the development of artificial intelligence on insurance law. Artificial intelligence is already used in the process of concluding insurance contracts and claims settlement, and in the future the issue of liability of insurers for damage caused by artificial intelligence, in particular autonomous vehicles, will be a challenge. This may require a change in the current approach to some problems, and perhaps also legislative changes, primarily in the field of consumer protection, risk-based liability for damage, as well as compulsory third-party liability insurance for motor vehicle owners. The aim of the article is to present the most important challenges related to the development of artificial intelligence for the insurance industry. Therefore, the study is of a review nature, taking into account both issues related to contract law and tort liability.
