Reflections on the Archive Arrangement at Harghita County Archives (Romania)

Summary/Abstract: The process of archive arrangement at Harghita County Archives followed the various controls of the Central Control Unit and their recommendations. At the same time, the necessity of the arrangement was given by the fact that numerous new fonds have entered the Archive and have been processed, resulting in their physical fragmentation in almost all repositories. The arrangement process took place in several stages: evaluation, creation of virtual repositories, creation of new repository registers. The whole process was a test for our professional experience due to the fact that we had no similar experience and no guidelines to follow.
