Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to present and to discuss the comparative method of texts developed at Brasilia University, and tested in many scholar’s papers realized by my students. The comparative method of texts is a technique based in a theoretical approach whose aim is to clarify many translations choices from the moment that the translation work is organized by data tables and translation diary that are present in the translation act. This approach is related to the Walter Benjamin text, La tâche du traducteur.
