Summary/Abstract: In this article we analyze the problem of philosophical interpretation of the colors as a secondary quality (qualia) in the context of their universality. The overview of the basic theories of color and the problem of color reduction is provided, as well as a contribution to the debate about the possibility of the inverted spectrum, in a wider sense also applicable to other qualia. It was shown that experimentally is not possible to prove the identity of color experiences, because all comparative statements which could probably be used to identify differences in individual perception of any qualia, alse also qualia, and even if there was such a possibility, the possibility that alternative isomorphic spectra (masked by the rules of language) exist would remain. The article represents a synthetic experimental and review analysis of the problem from the standpoint of philosophy, anthropology and biophysics.
