Concept of territorial security

Summary/Abstract: Security, in addition to being a fundamental concept, is one of the main problems of modern society and is therefore the focus of public attention. It is related to the interests of the individual as well as the interests of society as a whole. The implementation of national security policy is carried out by the central and territorial executive authorities. Territorial security, as part of national security, has as its object the security of a specific territory where there is a combination of state, municipal and private interests. The functioning systems for the protection of the territory concerned are to some extent a micromodel of national security and an important element of it. In order to meet the new expectations of the society, it is necessary to take urgent measures to update the legislation on security issues in the part regulating the duties and responsibilities of local authorities.
