Summary/Abstract: The Garden of Eden: it is said that it had a temporary existence, at the beginning of mankind, being located on a small geographical area on Earth; it was intended for the physical existence of the first two people, Adam and Eve, until their fall into sin, after which it ceased to exist. Heaven: had (since the creation of the world) and has an eternal, infinite existence „in heaven”, in a place of God; it is the place where it is said that the souls of the deserving (deserving in the biblical sense) arrive after death; it is the embrace of God (only) for souls saved from sins, who receive eternal life. The mistake is often made, including through some Bibles and through numerous explanatory dictionaries of the Romanian language, to consider that the „Garden of Eden”, „Paradise” and „Heaven” are identical, have the same meaning, which is not true, as as I try to demonstrate through this material.
