Summary/Abstract: In this paper, the meaning of sexual revolution has been critical discussed. Author displays relevant ideas of Reich and Marcuse as representative thinkers in this domain. He starts with a demonstration of significant advantages of Marcuse’s theory, concerning differentiation between sexuality and eros. Then he points out that Marcuse’s conception has some theoretical deficites, concerning to understanding of represive desublimation. Finally author exposes the thesis of importance of erotic wishes only for individual freedom. The idea of social relevance of sexual revolution (Reich) or erotic transformation (Marcuse) has been estimated as theoretical inplausible.
