Summary/Abstract: This research was conducted to understand the role and participation of parents in the educational process. Adopting a qualitative research approach, the study used data obtained from semi-structured interviews with 20 parents in Adıyaman province. The data analyzed was divided into various themes to understand the role of parents in the education process, school-parent communication, participation levels and expectations. Findings show that parents generally play a supportive role in their children's education, but they experience some difficulties in communication and participation. The results provide suggestions for strengthening school-parent cooperation and involving parents more effectively in the educational process.
