Summary/Abstract: Background. Cocoa and chocolate is a subject of interest in daily lives of many people, but especially in recent years, and research topic due to their beneficial effects already proven on health. Cocoa and chocolate have been recognized as a rich source of flavonoids, mainly flavones, important for the beneficial effects on the body. Cocoa has also been found to have effects on the oxidative stress, lipidis, carbohydrates, neurocognition, mood, and behavior. Aims. The aim of this paper is to present some information on cocoa and chocolate from the perspective of the importance of their anti-stress action from PubMed publications perspective. Methods. The method is based on the structure of a mini narrative review combine with an study. In carrying out this study, the Database of the PubMed publication site was used. To highlight the relationship between chocolate/cocoa and stress, the keywords were selected for analysis: "Cocoa and Stress" and "Chocolate and Stress". The PubMed filters chosen were "Sex" and "Ages". The chosen keywords were analyzed, in relation to: filters and the total number (N) of publications, sub-filters and average number of publications per year (N/Year), sub-filters and average number of publications. Results. For keywords "Cocoa and Stress": a) for the "Sex" filter, the differences were significant between N/Year and M (0.0063), F (0.0051) and M+F (0.0181); b) for the "Age" filter, the differences were significant between N/Year and 0-18 (0.0004), 19-44 (0.0016), 45-64 (0.0017) ,>65 (0.0005 ), >80 (0.0002). For keywords "Chocolate and Stress": a) for the "Sex" filter, the differences were significant between N/Year and M (0.0093), F (0.0026), M+F (0.0260); b) for the "Age" filter, the differences were significant between N/Year and 0-18 (0.00003), 19-44 (0.0010), 45-64 (0.0002), >65 (0.00005 ), >80 (0.00002). Conclusions. 1) Cocoa and chocolate have multiple beneficial effects, among them, the antioxidant, metabolic and neuro-psycho-emotional ones are very important. 2) Publications about La Cocoa and chocolate in relation to stress have been equal numeric and as a publication period. 3) The largest number of publications was for both genres and the largest number of publications was for the 19-44 years. 4) The interest in research on cocoa/ chocolate and stress is important and has been generally increasing during the time analyzed periods.
