Summary/Abstract: There are many ways in which a man can be intelligent or demonstrate his intelligence by using different parts of the brain in the process. To prove this, dr. Gardner studied how adults and children learn, noting that there are eight types of intelligence, each with distinct characteristics, embodied in the theory he called the ”Theory of multiple Intelligences”. Developed in 1983, this theory suggests that IQ tests are not the most accurate way to measure intelligence, because in this test many categories of skills are not evaluated. The way these multiple intelligences combine makes us unique, which then determines how we solve problems and how we develop afterwards. But these differences pose a challenge to the traditional education system, which assumes that everyone is the same and therefore learns the same. Perhaps that’s why most children don’t get excited or appreciate their true value in traditional classrooms.
