Summary/Abstract: The present article begins on an observational architectural and town-planning exercise of the relationships of interdependence between environment (natural, socio-economic and anthropic environment) within “Citadel Avenue” area and its surroundings. The goal of the study is to underline the factors of urban environment that contribute to the educational process, affecting in a positive or negative manner the education with its forms. In this study, there were used many methods such as: the observation, the photography, the slopes mapping, the investigation, the research in scientific literature, the interpretation. The reason we chose this architectural space is closely connected with the local history and its topographic and geographic features, with the urban functions of the territory, and with its potential. The paper considers especially two of the three factors that help in human personality development: environment and education. Thus, it aims to emphasise the relationship between architecture, seen as science, art and technique that is concerned with the problem of the space, and the pedagogy, seen as science of education.
