Summary/Abstract: The article is a commentary on and an attempt to develop the concept ofacid communism as proposed by Marek Fisher. The author focuses primarily on thephenomenon of „consciousness raising” as an important goal of both countercul-tural practices and left-wing political activities, tracing their connections to, amongothers, meditation practices, mindfulness, therapy and anti-therapy.
