Summary/Abstract: The victims of polio epidemic in Hungary lived though the revolution of 1956 in the closed department of a Budapest hospital without medical attendance and with less and less connection with the outside world. The protagonist of the novel in progress (the mother of the author) get acquainted with families which has got to face the consequences of the revolution and the fact of the everlasting paralysis of the member of the family.
