Summary/Abstract: The authors of the article note that for some time now there have been European states and others who want a partial withdrawal of borders, claiming that the borders established by treaties concluded after the Second World War no longer correspond to their desires, often invoking historical rights over territories or simply threatening to use force of arms to satisfy their claims.Studying Romanian and foreign bibliographical materials, some of them less known, the authors analyse the Peace Treaties concluded at the Paris Peace Conference of 10 February 1947 and how they contributed to strengthening international security in the post-war period. The authors conclude that the way in which the treaties were drawn up gave them and still gives them viability over time, especially now that some major powers are questioning the existing world order, which is based on rules and international law, trying to impose their own vision on relations between states, based on the law of the strongest or at least the most aggressive and wanting to go back in time to regain their lost influence over territories and nations.
