Summary/Abstract: The main aim of the article is to identify (based on reports and scientific studies on youth published in Poland in the last two decades) the basic areas of youth problems. In-depth knowledge, well-recognized problems and full diag- nosis allow us to clearly formulate strategic goals, appropriate tools and expected results. The results of sociological research show on the one hand the growing diversity of young people and the need to take this fact into account in projects and programs dedicated to young people; on the other hand, they suggest recommendations and solutions. The article confronts the existing programs dedicated to youth within the youth policy in Poland with the current problems of contemporary youth. The conducted analyzes lead to the conclusion that politics in Poland basically do not exist. The lack of a uniform, explicitly outlined youth policy leads to decision-making chaos, and thus to the lack of action or counterproductive action. This is due to the dispersion of central competences among various ministries as well as the lack of mutual coordination and coherent action.
