Summary/Abstract: Entrepreneurship in the hospitality industry is a challenging field in the current socio-economic context. Putting customers at the center of business is the priority for global hospitality and tourism companies. This paper aims to define the concept of entrepreneurship in the hospitality industry and to present the case of Marriott International, one of the famous and largest hotel chains. The research methodology was based on a quantitative research method and a case study. The paper contributes to the deepening of the theoretical framework to better understand the concept of entrepreneurship in the hospitality industry. It also shows how Marriott International has succeeded in becoming one of the most important hotel chains worldwide. The presentation of the concepts of entrepreneurship in the hospitality industry by reference to Marriott International represents an original approach. The outcome of this paper provides a guidance tool for professionals from the hospitality industry and for persons that are interested in the field of entrepreneurship, in general, and regarding the hospitality industry, particularly.
