Summary/Abstract: This paper provides a literature review on consumer preferences for using e-commerce shopping platforms and online store websites. The author of the publication presents the results of a self-reported study aimed at determining the propensity of potential customers to purchase directly from online store websites and large e-commerce platforms such as Allegro. The study verified the main hypothesis stating that consumers are likely to use the services of online stores if their offer is, in their opinion, more attractive than offer of e-commerce shopping platforms.
