Summary/Abstract: Developments in technology and affordability of interactive interfaces of the smart devices, alongside programming of extensive applications, and unique dissemination channels, like for instance, streaming services or OTT platforms, have transformed the way we consume entertainment globally in the past decade. Web series are a great example of the new media content that use those digital interfaces to deliver multiple entertainment forms at a fingertip. The impact of web series on the Indian audience is noteworthy. This format has changed the fabric and the ecosystem of the new media production in India, from conception to dissemination of content. In a country where traditional media like Cinema and Television opposes strong censorship and are reiterating the same old subject matter, the web series, like a breath of fresh air, has been offering more original content, opening the way for bold and unique narrative content that would otherwise never see the light of day. This article presents some concepts and data framework of the web series format in India and the outline of a case study – a web series starting in 2018 – “Mr. and Mrs.”. The analysis carried out focuses on the production and post-production techniques of an episode of this series.
