Summary/Abstract: In recent years, the number of natural, political, military and, as a result, social crises has increased significantly worldwide. The need to evacuate large groups of people in such crises also creates the need for the timely supply of water for domestic needs from a nearby water source. The source of such water can be a nearby sea, lake or river. In order to be suitable for use, this water must be purified to reach the necessary technological indicators.The article presents the sequence of the main methods and technologies for water purification and desalination. Introduction, modernization and new solutions to a built and working system. New perspectives related to the use of combined technologies for purification and desalination of sea water.
