Mongolia: A Scholarly Adventure

Summary/Abstract: It was almost a year ago that I received an invitation from the leading scholar of Medieval Mongolian History, Prof Shagdar Bira, Member of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences and Secretary-General of the International Association of Mongolian Studies, to the 10th International Congress of Mongolian Studies, held between 9 and 13 August 2011 in Ulan Bator. But time flies and now I can look back with warm feelings to the exciting days spent there in August, the most pleasant summer month.
