Summary/Abstract: The author deals with tombstone relief decoration. In the Renaissance and Baroque periods human figures and faces began to appear as part of the tombstone decoration in the Old Jewish Cemetery in Prague. Decorated in this way were the gravestones belonging to Aharon Shimon Spira, the Teomim family and others, which bear figures of boys and, above all, girls. The author also deals with funeral symbols in this cemetery in general and studies the possible relation between some of the reliefs and book illustrations.
