Summary/Abstract: The article presents the results of a study on the pedestrian accessibility of critical services in Warsaw. Such services are those which are most often used by residents. The pedestrian accessibility of critical services in Warsaw varies and depends both on the category of services and the age of the inhabitants making use of them. The distribution of services does not meet the demand related to the distribution of inhabitants of certain age groups in the city. The best availability of critical services occurs in densely built-up areas such as Górny Mokotów, Tarchomin or Kabaty. Accessibility of these services is a problem for residents of peripheral areas.
