Summary/Abstract: The considerations in the text comprise the topic of Warsaw urbanonyms that commemorate real figures. The aim of the text is to present the place and year of birth of each of the patrons, and to analyze the collected data in geographical and historical terms. The presented results prove that the majority of Warsaw patrons are Poles, born mainly in the 19th and 20th centuries in areas belonging to the Republic of Poland presently or in the past. There are much fewer patrons born in earlier centuries, and people born in other countries of Europe and the world.
