Summary/Abstract: The appearance of television will significantly change people’s lives, their perception of the world and themselves. It will become a personal window through which we can observe but which also follows us at the same time. In the past century, television experienced its zenith and began to face decline, but the role it played in different times and environments will continue to be a subject of interest. This time we single it out as a medium that played a significant role in collecting and preserving folklore materials in the South-Eastern part of Macedonia, an area in which the attitude of people towards the medium is close and quite open, precisely from the fact that with the independence, local television stations were opened in all cities from the region. How they treated folklore and what they managed to register and archive was considered in this paper, which investigated the private archives of the existing and closed media-televisions in the Southeast.
