Summary/Abstract: Introduction: The not clear time frame of expectation of renal transplantation (RT) and the dynamics in the current state of potential recipients requires maintaining a high health culture among this specific group of patients. RT applicants need specialized information provided by highly informative channels. Aim: To identify the preferred information channels regarding the transplantation process and the frequency of administra- tion among patients expecting RT. Materials and methods: A total of 105 potential recipients conducting hemodialysis treatment in structures located in the cities of Burgas were studied; Varna; Dobrich; Ruse; Commercial and Shumen. A survey method was applied through an individual anonymous survey. The survey was conducted in June-September 2019. Results and conclusions: The focus of the problem is the fact that during the long period of waiting for kidney transplanta- tion, almost all respondents have not attended specialized trainings, courses, seminars on transplants and innovations in the field and do not contact organizations supporting patients with kidney diseases
