Summary/Abstract: This article examines the role of the Protectorate government and the Reich Protector in the confiscation of Jewish property in Bohemia and Moravia during the Nazi occupation. It analyzes the legal and administrative measures that enabled the systematic and total expropriation of the Jewish population, as well as the resistance and collaboration of the Czech political and economic elites. It also explores the motives and interests of the German authorities and the Czech collaborators in the process of "Aryanization", which was used as a tool of Germanization and economic exploitation. It argues that the confiscation of Jewish property was not only a consequence of Nazi racial ideology, but also a result of economic and political calculations and conflicts.
