Summary/Abstract: The article presents the pioneering results of research on the history of Fabryka Wyrobów Metalowych Famak, the largest manufacturer of cutlery and table accessories in Łódź in the 1920s. So far, the literature on the subject has not dealt with issues related to the activities of Łódź – based companies producing clad products. The creation of the plant, its history and production profile are described.
